August 24, 2010 we officially said good-bye to summer with some fun. We invited our parents, grandparents, aunt and uncles to join us for a BBQ at daycare at the end of the day. When we arrived in the morning we asked about the coming Scavenger Hunt and were disappointed that we had to wait until the end of the day. The wait was worth it!
We played with two teams the boys vs the girls, even though the girls outnumbered the boys 2:1! The girls won, but only just barely. As our reward we opened the stay at daycare prizes. We received a bat and ball, some Littlest Pet Shop animals (to which the girls squealed in delight), flat orange discs to make bases for baseball, and some markers and paper for the babies.
We also received some goodie boxes. In the girls boxes (which are the perfect size for taking a sandwich to school and have our names on them) were a Littlest Pet Shop animal, two heart bracelets, and two rings. In the boys boxes were a small video game, an action figure, two train bracelets and two rings.
While we waited for Jim to finish cooking our hotdogs and chicken we played in the yard with our family and friends. We had a lot of fun showing off for our families.
We had supper of chicken, hot dogs, toss salad, Friendship Fruit Salad (we all brought in a fruit and Jenna and Delia made it into salad), and milk or water to drink. We ate outside on a giant picnic blanket (some adults found a table to sit at and others balanced their supper on their knees) before running around some more.

We were sad to go home, but glad that we had this chance to get together for a meal.
